I’m always fascinated with building photos editor on the phone, and it’s always hard to do complicated photos/layers manipulation within the little screen.
One of them is to group photos/layers and manipulate them at the same time.
In the PhotoShop, there is a layer panel where you could group items and doing the group update. It’s probably not a good idea to do so on the little screen because:
- There is no enough space for putting the layer panel, at the mean while you want to show the preview.
- Bring the user to another layer page, that would introduce the cost of going back and forth (also increase the difficulty of engineering).
Giving up the layer panel probably is a way out, then I came up with this idea:
I think I would create a hack demo in the coming hackadays.
